  • Slow Cooker

    If you use a slow cooker, especially when cooking chicken/turkey/duck,

    do NOT start the cooking process from the cold or even room temperature.

    Rather, use a different pot, bring the meat to boil, then transfering all ingredients to the slow cooker and cooking it .

    WHY? major bacteria bloom if the cold meat sits in the cooker too long, before it reaches safe temperature.

        if so, it IS a good thing!

        earlier today, witnessed a family of 6 got food poisoning from a busy MOM with a slow cooker; thus the post.

        A pressure cooker of large size is much more useful (cooking & canning)

          Do you know what I use my pressure cooker for? Once or twice cooking a dish ( last time I cook bò kho ,I think ). Most of the time I used it for luộc đậu phọng & hầm đậu đỏ nấu chè [8D][8D]I have a small slow cook but use only to cook pot pouri
