  • Cháo Cá Sturgeon

    If you can buy fresh or frozen sturgeon, a very good fish for many different dishes in my eyes,

    but this time, please try to make Cháo Cá.

    Ingredients:

    (serving 2)

    * 1lb or so sturgeon

    * some fresh ginger root

    * 1/2 yellow onion

    * green onion, cilandro, salt & pepper

    * rice

    Preparation:

    * wash the rice, cook it with 5 times or more of water to rice

    * skin the sturgeon and debone it: boil these scraps with some water and onion;

    * slice the sturgeon flesh into thick slices; marinate with fish sauce, minced white part of green onion, strings of ginger roots and may be some sugar

    * when the porridge is cooked (must be thick), add the fish broth above; adjust for saltiness to the LIGHT side of it

    ** when ready to serve, add the sturgeon slices and the marinate; bring to boil, within 5 minutes íts ready to serve

    top with minced green onion and cilandro.

    SOMEONE KINDLY PLEASE PROVIDE A PICTURE WHEN AVAILABLE!

    This dish has no fishy odor; taste good and not much weight to gain. Of course, one can substitute the sturgeon with other ocean fish.
